Mother’s Day this year all four of us got a chance to celebrate in the U.S. and we all agreed that I-HOP would be perfect Mother’s Day celebration meal.
Being a mom to me means more than just having given birth to these two beautiful daughters.
It means falling in love with someone even before I see or know them. It means even feeling less attractive and most uncomfortable when I reach last trimester but still smiling every time those little feet, hands or elbows moving around in my womb. It means going through the labor pain for hours and hours, but at the end I get to experience the most incredible moment in my entire life. It means nursing and lacking of sleep for months and months but the tiredness never comes across. It means enjoying teaching them to talk, to walk, and to eventually run without boredom. It means supporting them when they fall and telling them everything is going to be okay. It means always there and will be there for them. It means giving them the security, building their self-esteem, supporting their dreams, and loving them unconditionally. Being a mom for me is a blessing gift and a long relationship that never ends and a eternity love that never dies. So, this is the best part of me being a mom.
It’s Blueberry Pancakes that Alivia wanted.
Stack of two fluffy pancakes filled with blueberries, then topped with sweet, warm blueberry compote and creamy whipped topping. She had her pancakes with bacon and scramble eggs. My kids L-O-V-E pancakes!!! But today she didn’t finish the pancakes though. 😛
I ordered Homestyle Corned Beef Hash.
Shredded corned beef, caramelized onions & melted Swiss served on top of crispy hash browns. All drizzled with IHOP’s signature mustard aioli & topped with 2 eggs. I like my egg runny so it still has the earthy flavor and you can use the toast to dip on the yolk…yummy! My corned beef is a little dry and plating is a little sloppy – not sure maybe they are in a rush or what. But the flavor still as good.
You’ll actually get three slices of brioche toast topped with real whipped butter & dusted with powdered sugar for a sweet finish. However, I only ordered two slices of Brioche French Toast as the side dish. This is the first time that I tried Brioche French Toast (normally I would go for the original ones) the flavors are amazing and this is going to be my favorite French toast every time I go to I-HOP. It’s so rich and fluffy. However, I prefer to have my Brioche French Toast with original maple syrup instead of the syrup that comes along.
Steve got the Buttermilk Biscuit & Gravy but he finished it way too quick so I didn’t get a chance to take a picture. So does Ashley, she got Build Your Own Rooty Jr.® set with pancake, sausage, and bacon. And everyone enjoyed their Mother’s Day meal at I-HOP.

The service wasn’t bad at all – not too long for the wait, and I’m sure they were expecting the crowds so they had to make sure they have enough staffing and trying to turn the tables as fast as they can. Not impressive for the server – lack of energy and needed to remind her a second time to bring the drinks. So, over all I rate our Mother’s Day meal as…
Taste/Flavor – 3.8/5, Service – 3/5, Atmosphere – 3/5, Overall: 3.3/5
